The Lost Caverns of Ixalan introduces the creature subtypes Capybara, Llama, and Snail. the artifact subtype “Map”, the Cave land type, and the Quintorius planeswalker type.

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan introduces and reshows little-used counters; Bore, Chorus, Dread, deciduous, Finality,  Landmark, Net, Point, and time counters. 

Transform double-faced cards with those that transform into lands.

The set introduces the Craft mechanic,  descending,  discover, and explore makes a return. 

Craft is a new way to transform artifacts. By paying a mana cost and exiling permanents you control artifacts can transform into more powerful permanents.

Descending is a new mechanic that describes the act of putting a permanent card into a graveyard from anywhere. This is linked to two new ability words, Descend X describing triggers that activate if there are X permanent cards in your graveyard. 

Discover is a revamped version of cascade with more design space. Instead of being a cast trigger, it’s a keyword action that always comes with a value. To Discover X, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a card with mana value X or less. 

Explore returns from the original Ixalan set, and now also features on Map tokens, a new predefined token.

The Lost Caverns is sold in regular 16-card Draft Boosters available for purchase will be;

Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn

Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet —Paradox Rift

Released in English on November 3, 2023, and in Japanese on October 27, 2023.

This is the fourth expansion of cards from the Scarlet & Violet Series

Two new variants of cards are introduced in this expansion: Ancient and Future, which are both available as Pokémon and Trainer cards. Ancient Pokémon cards tend to have direct attacks that deal a large amount of damage, while being difficult to Knock Out. Future Pokémon cards tend to have Abilities and attacks with extra effects, allowing for craftier strategies. 

Paradox Rift also includes Technical Machine cards categorized as Pokémon Tool cards.

There are no Lightning-type or Metal-type Pokémon in Ancient Roar. Likewise, there are no Darkness-type Pokémon in Future Flash.

Paradox Rift is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese.
